There is no doubt that NOW is the time for all of us to do our part to curb the spread of COVID-19. We now have community spread of the virus within Canada and time is of the essence for implementing changes to “flatten the curve” before this pandemic overwhelms our healthcare system.
The time is now to STAY AT HOME WITH YOUR IMMEDIATE FAMILY.
Do NOT:
- Attend playdates with friends off from school – try virtual playdates!
- Go to crowded places (eg. Malls, movie theatres)
- Have family or social gatherings such as dinner parties
– use technology to keep up with friends and family!
- Attend Music lessons (unless they are virtual)
- Attend Athletic events with large groups
- Attend club events
Please, do what you can to AVOID contact with people outside of your immediate family as much as possible. Work from home. If needed, take vacation days and stay at home – do what you must to isolate in your home. Keep trips to the grocery store short, and only send one family member.
We are asking all our members to consider connecting with those around you by phone or computer. We can continue to be a community of believers supporting each other and our neighbours.
We have asked that all meetings and groups not meet until further notice – this includes meetings in your homes. Try using Skype, Facetime or Zoom to connect or just pick up the telephone and call someone.
We would encourage you to join our church Facebook page Clinton CRC Church Family or check out our website Clinton Christian Reformed Church. If you know someone that does not have a computer please call them and keep them updated on what is happening.
At this time if you need any assistance please contact your pastoral elder or deacon. They are available to talk, provide help, deliver items but will not be able to face-to-face visits.
Use your church directory to pray for each member in our congregation. It is through prayer that we connect with God, worship him and bring to him our concerns.
As this pandemic continues to evolve we will keep you up to date with the changes and will try to provide ways for you to worship in your home.
Thank you for taking this seriously and following the guidance of the Federal and Provincial governments and the Public Health Unit.
God continues to hold us in His hands and is always in control.
IN CHRIST ALONE we find our strength.
