Clinton CRC and Covid-19

On this page, we hope to post updates on how our church is responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We pray that everyone will stay home as much as possible and that those returning from vacations will self-isolate for the required time as noted by Public Health. If you or someone you know, needs assistance, please contact your elder, deacon or Admin Team.

    Dear Clinton CRC Family,

In keeping with the guidelines set forth from the Huron Perth Public Health, the Council of Clinton Christian Reformed Church after prayer and discernment has decided to indefinitely suspend worship services and all meetings until further notice.  We are committed to the health and safety of you, the members and our community and we have a responsibility to help contain the spread of infection.

These cancellations will be reviewed as the public response to the COVID-19 pandemic unfolds and updates will be posted regularly on our facebook page, website, by email and phone for those that do not have online access.

The Clinton CRC Worship Team is currently researching creative ways to nurture the faith of our church family and to keep us connected.  Every Friday the Worship Team will send out an email with a service for you and your family to follow on Sunday.  Please look for ways that we can bless each other.  You are encouraged to reach out to members, especially those who do not have e-mail or facebook as well as those in our community.

There have been a number of you asking how you can give during this time of uncertainty.  There are a couple of options available at this time.

    1. You can mail a cheque to the church.
    2. E-Transfer to

With Option 1 and 2 please indicate the amount for budget and the amount for the offering of the week.

    1. PAR or Pre-Authorized Remittance is only available to those who are set up already.

The church doors will remain locked at this time but the church office is open.  Any concerns, please contact your pastoral elder or deacon or call the church at (519) 482-5264 or e-mail

  • March 21, 2020 Update

There is no doubt that NOW is the time for all of us to do our part to curb the spread of COVID-19. We now have community spread of the virus within Canada and time is of the essence for implementing changes to “flatten the curve” before this pandemic overwhelms our healthcare system.

    Do NOT:

    - Attend playdates with friends off from school – try virtual playdates!

    - Go to crowded places (eg. Malls, movie theatres)

    - Have family or social gatherings such as dinner parties

    – use technology to keep up with friends and family!

    - Attend Music lessons (unless they are virtual)

    - Attend Athletic events with large groups

    - Attend club events

Please, do what you can to AVOID contact with people outside of your immediate family as much as possible. Work from home. If needed, take vacation days and stay at home – do what you must to isolate in your home. Keep trips to the grocery store short, and only send one family member.

We are asking all our members to consider connecting with those around you by phone or computer. We can continue to be a community of believers supporting each other and our neighbours.

We have asked that all meetings and groups not meet until further notice – this includes meetings in your homes. Try using Skype, Facetime or Zoom to connect or just pick up the telephone and call someone.

We would encourage you to join our church Facebook page Clinton CRC Church Family or check out our website Clinton Christian Reformed Church. If you know someone that does not have a computer please call them and keep them updated on what is happening.

At this time if you need any assistance please contact your pastoral elder or deacon. They are available to talk, provide help, deliver items but will not be able to face-to-face visits.

Use your church directory to pray for each member in our congregation. It is through prayer that we connect with God, worship him and bring to him our concerns.

As this pandemic continues to evolve we will keep you up to date with the changes and will try to provide ways for you to worship in your home.

Thank you for taking this seriously and following the guidance of the Federal and Provincial governments and the Public Health Unit.

God continues to hold us in His hands and is always in control.

IN CHRIST ALONE we find our strength.

    Clinton CRC Administrative Team.
